The Netherlands is an open economy, carried along by international economic trends. In addition, global warming, the uncertainties surrounding the war in Ukraine and a volatile energy crisis are also presenting new challenges. However, these have a relatively limited direct real impact on Dutch exports. It is still difficult to estimate how far Brexit will really affect Dutch exports and hence the Dutch economy.
