Global Mobility.
More and more employees are working across national borders. Because the employer also starts doing business in a foreign market, for example. Or because the employee no longer needs to be "in the office" to work. Especially the latter has become increasingly normal these days.

Global Mobility. Local expertise.
Within our Global Mobility team we advise employers and employees with questions about cross border employment. Where is the employee taxed in case he works in another country than his country of residence? Which social security system applies? Is the employee allowed to work in another country? Is there a legal obligation to notify the authorities in another country when you assign your employee to another country?
Our team of specialist are ready to guide you and your employee through the various legislation. We have a strong partner network which we work closely with so that you as an employer will not face any surprises.
Hiring an employee in the Netherlands?
Are you planning to start doing business in the Netherlands and want to hire an employee in the Netherlands? Before making a decision, you might want to know how much this employee will cost you. But also which rules (labour and taxation for example) should you take into account? We have prepared a memorandum which gives insight into the costs you have to take into account when hiring an employee in the Netherlands. It also gives insight into the most important topics of Dutch labour law. Finally it describes were our colleagues can assist you with. The memorandum can be downloaded here.
Employing an employee in the Netherlands also means that, in most cases, you are obliged to have a Dutch payroll in place. Our team will take you by the hand in the registration and set up process. Please also take a look at our payroll page.
Assigning your employee to another country
Within our Global Mobility team we inform and advice employers who wants to assign employees to another country. Is it possible to keep the employee in the Dutch social security system? What will be the impact for the employee in terms of his salary package? Which actions needs to be taken by the employer and by the employee? Together with our partner network we can guide both employer as the employee through this process. In the end our team can assist with the preparation of the personal Dutch income tax return and coordinate this with the tax partner abroad who will take care of the foreign personal income tax return. We all do this with a personal touch.
